Kia Rio new models smoothly January 30

PUNB loan RM195j driving range pass

Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) aiming to approve funding of RM195 million this year.

Chairman Khairy Jamaluddin said the amount could finance more than 620 entrepreneurs through four schemes, i.e. Schemes PROSPER, PROSPER Retail Wholesale, small and medium Entrepreneurs and Young Entrepreneurs scheme of PROSPER (PUMA) with financing deals between RM5, 000 to RM5 million.

Last year, PUNB loan valued at 166.78 million to 539 people, he told reporters after the prize presentation ceremony for the winners of the challenge Business Plan PUNB 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.

Khairy said, attention will be given to young people in particular the scheme to promote entrepreneurial culture PUMA among generations.

Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) foster cooperation with Warner Bros. to issue debit cards that display images ' Superman ' superhero characters in an effort to strengthen its position as the leading debit card in the country.

Vice President and Chief Community banking services, Lim Hong Tat said through the joint venture, Visa Debit card Maybankard Superman will be given limited especially for fans of the comic hero.

He said the debit cards will start to be in the market in the first quarter of this year and is issued to encourage customers to use it as one of the payment methods including shopping for daily necessities.

IPO Iskandar Waterfront diunjur RM900j funds received

The regional development, led by Khazanah Nasional Bhd has attracted other developers such as property developer from China, Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd, which bought 11 hectares of land offered waterfront.

Listing of Iskandar Waterfront is expected to be the first after the general election.

Malaysia is Asia's IPO market in 2012, driven by the Government's privatization program and a strong economy.

However, analysts and investment banks said the IPO activity will slow a bit towards the general elections because of concern over the volatility of the market.

Toyota noted the highest selling

UMW Toyota Motor, exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus brand in Malaysia recorded the highest sales record last year.

Its President, Datuk Sahibul Suki, says the company shut down the 2012 with sales records its highest level of 106600 unit with 1500 units is from sales of Lexus models.

He said the sales represented a 17 per cent market share in a challenging market environment.

"Our top two models in terms of sales is Vios and Hilux each represent 30 and 27 percent overall sales last year.

"Although many products launched last year, we expect this year will be another challenging year for the company," he said at the celebration of media in Kuala Lumpur recently.
