Through the forum that brings together prominent political and economic world, Najib, who is also Minister of finance, will market the brand Malaysia based on the successful economic transformation programme (ETP) since its launch in October 2010.
Minister of international trade and industry, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, said the rally over 2500 investors, business leaders and policy makers the most powerful and influential in the world, WEF is best platform because it features a wider global audience.
"In view of the increasingly competitive environment, Malaysia faces competition need to upgrade profile by highlighting the success of the business-friendly environment and ETP this country," he said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
He said, though the Prime Minister has a tight domestic schedule, especially with the expected general election held in March this year, efforts should continue to attract investors, developing the economy and creating job opportunities.
Najib will travel tomorrow to head the Malaysian delegation to the WEF from 23 to 26 January.

The theme for this year's forum was ' Resilient ' Dinanisme and world leaders will discuss national methods and business can build resilience risks and adapt to deal with new social and economic demands in an increasingly interconnected world.
As the leader of a country that has moved against global trends, as well as through the brave transformation programme, Najib will take the opportunity to discuss with other world leaders and helped shape the global agenda by 2013.

Mustapa said the Prime Minister's programme includes meetings with later Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte; and Director General of the World Trade Organization, Pascal Lamy.
He will also take part in a televised session entitled ' Economic Fatigue and its consequences '.
Here, Najib will talk about global economic issues along with panel members include Ali Babacan, Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Economic Affairs of Turkey; and Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, President of Iceland.

In this session he will be joined by politicians, including the President of the Philippines ASEAB, Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
